90 Days. Brotherhood. Discipline. Surrender.

Dead Men Walking

A 90-day challenge for men who are tired of drifting and ready to die to themselves daily so they can walk in the life of Jesus.

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
Luke 9:23 NIV

This Is Not Self-Improvement

This is self-denial. Dead Men Walking is built on the call of Jesus: deny yourself, take up your cross daily, and follow Him.

The phrase “dead man walking” usually describes someone walking toward death. Jesus turned that upside down. He died, rose again, and now calls men to die to themselves so they can truly walk in life.

What You Are Signing Up For

90 Days

Daily standards, weekly challenges, Scripture, prayer, physical discipline, service, and brotherhood.

Brotherhood

Men are placed into huddles with a coach for accountability, access, encouragement, and challenge.

Retreat Weekend

The challenge ends with a weekend retreat at Possum Kingdom Lake, including meals, physical challenges, prayer, communion, and commissioning.

The Six Pillars

Surrendered to Jesus

Death of my will.

Satisfied in Jesus Alone

Death of my lusts.

Self-Controlled Through the Spirit

Death of my desires.

Safe to All but Evil

Death of my safety.

Selfless as Jesus Is in Holiness

Death of my selfishness.

Celebratory of All Good Things

Death of my pride.

Daily Goals

Every day, each man completes seven daily goals. The point is not complexity. The point is consistency.

10,000 Steps

Movement fights passivity.

1 Gallon of Water

Train your body instead of being ruled by cravings.

Strength Goal

Daily physical work built to prepare men for the retreat challenge.

1 Bible Chapter

Assigned reading so men submit to God’s Word daily.

10 Minutes of Prayer

Prayer kills self-reliance and trains dependence on God.

Serve Her

One intentional act of service for wife, girlfriend, or fiancée. Single men will receive a practical service standard.

Encourage a Brother

One specific encouraging text or call to another man.

Weekly Commitments

Attend Church and Participate

Do not just sit there. Sing. Serve. Engage. Be part of the body.

DMW Weekly Call

Everyone gathers weekly for teaching, challenge, accountability, and prayer.

Weekly Mission

Each week includes one practical challenge designed to target passivity, comfort, distraction, or selfishness.

Retreat Weekend

November 13–15 at Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas.

Friday Night

Arrival, dinner, vision, team carry challenge, “What Needs to Die?” reflection, and brotherhood time.

Saturday

Sunrise prayer walk, breakfast, huddle Murph, recovery lunch, Delete It session, lake jump, letters after death, dinner, and coin ceremony.

Sunday Morning

Sunrise communion by the water, final huddle prayer, breakfast, and departure before lunch.

Cost

$450

Covers the challenge structure, coaching, retreat lodging, meals, awards, supplies, and weekend experience.

The cost is part of the challenge. Sacrifice creates buy-in. Comfort has already cost most men enough.

Who This Is For

  • Men who are tired of drifting.
  • Men who want to follow Jesus with discipline and brotherhood.
  • Men willing to be challenged, known, and corrected.
  • Men who want to become more surrendered, self-controlled, selfless, and dependable.
  • Men willing to commit fully for 90 days.

Dead men do not live for themselves.
